The Syllabus
There are nine chapters within the syllabus, which cover the following areas

Course structure
The course is approximately three months and features an online exam.
The CFA Certificate in ESG Investing exam consists of a single online paper which covers nine topic areas on the ESG syllabus. The exam lasts for two hours and 20 minutes and consists of 100 questions. These include a mix of standard multiple choice and item set questions.
Successful completion of the ESG certificate can lead to the Diploma in Investment Management when combined with CFA IMC.
Exam preparation
Our online lectures, which form part of the Online Classroom Live programme, provides the core knowledge you need for the exam, as well as discussing a wide variety of practical and commercial issues facing investment professionals dealing with ESG matters.
All learners are provided with study materials consisting of online pre-recorded videos, study slides and a comprehensive exam standard study question bank with over 400 questions. These complement the core study training manual provided by the CFA.
Taught
You can elect to sit the ESG programme as follows:
- Online Classroom Live: including 4 live sessions where the tutor will go through the core material and more challenging topics within the paper
- Online Classroom: Self-study only with no access to live or face-to-face events, but full access to online videos, slides and question bank
Pass Assurance
Pass Assurance means you can attend the next sitting of the entire course for free if you are unsuccessful in your exams. Pass assurance is only available to those who choose to study via Online Classroom Live.
