This seminar will provide updates and guidance on Brexit following the outcome of the negotiations on 31 October 2019. Led by the Government of Jersey’s lead Brexit advisor, David Walwyn, this seminar will advise delegates of the practical implications of Brexit for Jersey and what lays ahead in the imminent future.

SPEAKER

David Walwyn, Director External Relations at the Government of Jersey

David has been dealing with the Jersey Government’s response to UK exit from the EU. Since the referendum, he led the team negotiating the Customs Arrangement with the UK and WTO extension. David was Strategy Director of Ogier, and before that Managing Director of PwC Corporate Services (Cayman) Limited. David was a previously Deputy Head of Overseas Territories Directorate in the Foreign Office, and he commissioned the KPMG Review of financial regulation in the Overseas Territories. He was UK chair of the joint UK /US (FBI) White Collar Crime Investigation Team investigating financial crime in the UK Overseas Territories.
