SPEAKER

Stephen Ozanne, Senior Counsel at Walkers

Stephen is a Senior Counsel in Walkers’ Guernsey office, where he is a regulatory specialist in the Corporate and Investment Funds Groups. Stephen has particular expertise advising in relation to financial services regulation, investment structuring, data protection and privacy, technology (including e-commerce, I.P., blockchain, A.I. and electronic transactions), outsourcing, cross-border marketing, economic substance, compliance, sanctions and AML.

Stephen regularly acts for banks, investment managers, advisers, custodians, institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, as well as Fintech businesses, including online prime brokerage, FX trading, payment, 'robo' investment advisory and cryptocurrency platforms, in respect of their regulatory requirements and for developing and using innovative technologies. He also frequently speaks at events regarding investment management, financial innovation and regulatory changes.
