Andrew Le Brun, AML/CFT NRA Lead at the Government of Jersey

Andrew Le Brun joined the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) in 2000 and is currently on secondment to the States of Jersey to lead the Island’s national risk assessment of money laundering (ML) and terrorist financing (TF) risk. Immediately before this, he completed an 18 month placement at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg where he took part in MONEYVAL mutual evaluations of the Isle of Man and Andorra.

At the JFSC, he had responsibility for implementation of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations that require preventative measures to be applied to financial institutions and designated non-financial businesses and professions and was actively involved in three assessments of Jersey’s framework for preventing ML and TF, most recently in 2015 by MONEYVAL.

In January 2018, Andrew was appointed as one of MONEYVAL’s five scientific experts.

Before joining the JFSC, Andrew was an audit partner at KPMG in the Channel Islands and has worked at KPMG’s offices in Jersey and the Cayman Islands.

Andrew is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
